Combining the flexibility of modern studio techniques with classic analog recording tools and vintage instruments, Proper Pop is the production home of Matt Basile.
Whether as a member of Mother Feather (Metal Blade Records), session and live bassist alongside acclaimed performers Stuart Mathewman (Sade, Twin Danger) and Jeff Taylor (Rockwood Music Hall Recordings), songwriter for such diverse acts as Ha Scritto and Casey Shea , or genre crossing producer to the likes of Misty Boyce (Sarah Bareilles band) and The Dig (Rollcall Records), Matt brings to each a wealth of knowledge and passion.
While specializing in album production, Matt is available for lessons, consulting and managemnet services on a case by case basis.
