Southtowns Camera Club is an award-winning photographic organization devoted to advancing its' members photography skill. Membership is open to all photography enthusiasts, from novices to experienced photographers. Visitors always welcome at no charge. Website: stcc.photoclubservices.com
The club started in 1979 and members range in skill-level from beginner to advanced. Meeting held at Hamburg Community Center, 107 Prospect Ave, Hamburg, the first and third Thursday of the month from September to May at 7:30 pm.
We love to share our photos and our knowledge about photography. Educational sessions, hands-on workshops and instruction covering all facets of photography are presented by expert photographers. We also enjoy group photographic field trips.
Basic instruction and workshops for beginners are held once a month. In addition photographs are critiqued by experts and suggestions are give about how to improve photos.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Visitors are always welcome to any meeting.
At the meeting held on the first Thursday of the month, at 6:30 pm, an instructional workshop geared to new photographers is presented by an expert photographer.
Experts are always available to answer questions about cameras, equipment, post-processing, etc.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Visitors are always welcome at no charge. Dues for membership is $40 per year.
How did you get started teaching?
Southtowns Camera Club was founded in 1979 with a mission of advancing its' members photographic skills and provide fellowship with others who share your interest in photography and a desire to improve.
What types of students have you worked with?
All levels of photographers belong to the club including those just starting out to experts including some professionals.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We love going out in the area and taking photos together. Recently we visisted the Botanical Gardens to take photos. Earlier this year we went to the old Broadway Theater which is in disrepair (renovations underway now) and to the Genesee Country Village and Museum in Mumford.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
At Southtowns Camera Club your photography is sure to improve through the instructional classes, image critiques and being with other photographers who share knowledge and take photos together.
