Frequently asked questions

I like to spend the first few lessons learning my students musical goals. And establishing a comfortable learning pace where the student feels challenged but not overwhelmed or pressured.

I have a degree in Music, have worked as a Session guitarist on both Major and Indie label projects. I was signed as a songwriter/producer/engineer and I have played in countess bands including original and cover projects. I have over 30 years teaching experience and love what I do.

My lesson rate for in home lessons is, $35 per half hour and 70 per hour.

My lesson rate for students that travel to me is, $30 a half hour and $60 an hour.

When I was in my first year as a music major I eas hired by a local music school. I stayed on as head guitar teacher at that school for 15 years before deciding to start my own private guitar lesson business.

I have worked with students ranging in age from 5-70. My students goals have be from a hobbyist to becoming a professional musician themselves.  Several of my students have gone on to becoming music teachers themselves on is even proforming on Broadway now.

My tribute band Zofolk has preformed with Randy Jackson of Zebra and Billy Joel's guitarist.

Make sure your teacher can read music and has at least an associate's degree in music.

None, open communication is the key to a great learning experience.
