About
Scholastically I have a Bachelor in Music, a Diploma for Creative in Performing Musical Art, an Associate Degree in Mass Media & presently acquiring Certificates for Studio Recording Technology. I have been a Music Director in a number of churches and gave lessons both privately and in schools. As a piano and voice teacher I have taught for over 20 years. I have conducted group and solo recitals for my students. I have prepared students for voice or singing auditions as well as prepared students fo piano competitions. As a teacher my students can expect me as very approachable, lessons will be enjoyable yet challenging. Lessons are aimed to develop students skills, talents, confidence, as well as excellence in terms of learning, competing, and performing. My students were able to perform to many occasions and venues, including playing at Carnegie Hall being chosen among all other awardees. What I love about teaching is that I am not just a teacher to my students but I am also become their friend, motivator, and encourager side by side with their parents.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For new students I usually introduce to them the basics like:where and how to sit in the piano; the keyboard with the white keys and black keys; the letter names; the hand numbering and its curved positions when playing; give 3 basic exercises then introduce the method books

I have a Bachelor in Music and a Diploma in Creative and Performing Musical Arts. I have been teaching piano and voice for more than 25 years.

lesson pricing: all absences will be given makeup regardless. Lessons will be done weekly and must be completed consistently within the month.

How did you get started teaching?
i started teaching when my piano professor hired me to teach in her school on my senior year
What types of students have you worked with?
i have worked with students from age 4 and up elementary, high school, college, mothers, fathers, retirees
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
this year some of my students joined the ywca piano competition while majority joined the annual students' recital. For 3 consecutive years a number of students played in Carnegie Hall joining the American Protégé Competitions.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
i would advice the student to review the teacher's credentials and see how the teacher great desire to teach you and develop you into an excellent student in the field
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Question: Are you willing to teach me or bare with me even if I seem to learn slow?
