About

I have 26 years experience as a performer and also as a director-choreographer, I have been on both sides of the auditioning table and am currently working on both sides of the table with such artists as Michael Mayer, Lorin Latarro, Jeff Calhoun, Dick Scanlan. I have staged work on Broadway and on TV, I know how to set you up for success in presenting your best self.

I have taught workshops and masterclasses for prestigious institutions like the Boston Conservatory, University Of Michigan, Elon University, Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre.

I teach group workshops and individual instruction. In groups or one on one, I have developed a teaching style that addresses each students challenges and strengths, channelling their energy into positive results.

Noah dusted me off after a years-long hiatus and helped me land Bronx Tale on Broadway. He helped me cut thru to not just ME and what I could best offer, but more importantly to telling the story of the material I was asked to prepare. Simple, Focused. Insightful. Direct and Supportive. Noahs coaching is an amazing blend of creativity, savvy, and exuberance. Far beyond being an incredible Director/Choreographer/Coach his performering ability and empathy help to get me performing at my best. Hes been a god-send at crucial times and helped me peform better, audition better and land jobs.

To whom it concerns,
Noah Racey is a gifted and perceptive master teacher with a keen sense of how to coach an actor and elicit change effectively and inventively. He has a knack for spotting certain weaknesses in a performance but the tact and facility to make the adjustments a collaborative effort. Noah worked with students in my Audition Repertoire class at CAP21 and offered them valid and tangible suggestions. He has an easy manner and a kindness in his regard for fellow actors which keeps his teaching accessible and personal. His objective, above all, is to see that the story is told with truth and with honesty - supported and buoyed by skills, but not informed by them. Noah Racey is invested in the art of performance at all levels and is not merely capable, but formidable in his knowledge.
I recommend him highly for any and all teaching capacities in the performing arts, he is truly an exceptional instructor and mentor.
Sincerely,
Bill Daugherty
actor/writer/director and instructor at CAP21 Conservatory
