We prepare actors for thr real world they will be facing, not the insulated class room. That means train our actors to move seamlessly from fim to theater to television.
Penny's approach to the craft comes from Stanislavky, with Meisner, and Chehov added in to give serious actors all the tools they need to grow to their maximum potential. We have also updated these thechniques to work in a more practical fasshion for hign speed demanded in the 21st century.
Our Advanced on Camera Class was made a part of the curriculum for the MFA Program at Columbia University.
Penny's Book ACTING LIONS is now being used as a text book in university acting programs.
There is nothing more fulling than opening actors minds to the the Craft of acting. Most of our actors are working professionals, but we do offer a Beginning Class. Watching beginning actors discover that there are actual techiques (tools) for everything an actor has to do is an amazinging feeling. And watching are working actors succeed, whether it is master a new techique in class, starring on Broadway, Starring on televion and film ispires every one at the studio; the actors as well as the teachers.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We work with actors who are serious about the craft of acting. Beginners are welcome. Everyone has to start somewhere. We start by teaching the fundamentals of the craft of the Acting Technique in our Beginning Class. THere are techniques for doing everything in life and acting is no different. The good news is all of the techniques are very learnable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I have been acting professionally for over 50 years and teaching for 25 years. Our student have starred in over 100 Feature Films, 90 TV Series, and 80 Broadway shows.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
THe Beginning Acting Technique Class is $395 for 7 weeks. Meets Wednesday 7pm-9:30pm
Private Coaching is $115/hr, $525/5hrs or $950/10hrs.
Coacxhing can be in person in NYC or using SKYPE

We work mostly with professional working actors. THey have won 12 Emmy Awards, 1 Golden Globe Award, 1 CVritics Choice Award and countless Film Festival Awards.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Acting is a very serious profession that requires lots of Hard Work and you will continue to study and learn until the day you die.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I am I willing to put in the trime and effort being an actor requires. Acting is very expensive, if you aren't willing to do a minimum of 10 hours homework for each hour opf class it is not for you.
