Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start every session asking the client they're personal fitness goal. We assign a specific workout plan to ensure we meet those goals. We start with stance, posture and balance. Then we move on to learning how to punch. Individually breaking down and focusing on each punch at a time. Once you have a good understanding of the basics we add footwork, defense, head movement and combinations. The hardest part is synchronizing it all together which, of course, we help you with. You'll have fun while learning the art and science of boxing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our owner began boxing when he was 15 years old. He went on to become a Junior Olympic champion. At 20 years, Jonathan tore his rotator cuff, thus closing the chapter on his 42:7 amatuer career. He has since maintained close ties with boxing by coaching pro and amatuer boxers of all levels, sharing his knowlegde with anyone who shows the dedication and interest to learn the sport.
