Studio55C
About
Our Dance and Movement Arts Center - www.Studio55C.org - focuses on the Body-Mind connection, having fun dancing, making classes affordable for all, workshops on self-care and creative expression, and teaching in English, Spanish, Russian, Korean and Chinese. Studio55C offers dance classes, periodic parties ( check out our upcoming salsa lessons), rental space, private sessions in bodywork, gallery openings, and special events.
Many of our teachers have Masters Degrees in Dance Education, are published authors, teach worldwide, and engage in environmental activism through Dance. Most are Moving For Life Certified Instructors or Certified Teachers of BodyMind Dancing, the Nia Technique, yoga, or meditation. Check out www.MovingForLife.org for our free or by donation classes. Martha Eddy's Dynamic Embodiment Somatic Movement certification is offered here. Www.dynamicembodiment.org Martha received the Outstanding Leadership in Dance Education award from the National Dance Education Organization in 2016.
We also partner with www.GlobalWaterDances.org, house www.GlobalWaterDancesNY.org, and work with Earth Celebrations. It's a great rehearsal space too.
