Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to have one on one conversation with the student to see why the person is insterested in the practice, any previous background or any predespositions. This helps us set up the proper practice for the student.
The important thing to mention is that although a practice is set up at the beginning, it will change as the student progresses.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been practicing yoga and meditation for eight years and received the yoga teaching training certification in 2015.
I co-host and collaborate in yoga and self discovering retreats locally in the tri-state area and Florida as well as internationally in countries like Peru, Costa Rica and Canada.
I also volunteer for a program which provides yoga classes for people living with anxiety and depression issues.
During these eight years, I have received training in natural medicine and therapy from ancestral doctors in Peru under the Inca tradition. I am a student of Tibetan buddhism under the Kagyu lineage as well as in Zen buddhism under the Rinzai tradition.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
If traveling to student:
$50 private yoga session - one hour
$20 meditation session - one hour
If student is traveling:
$30 private yoga session - one hour
$10 meditation session - one hour
This pricing can be negotiable depending on how many classes per month and if the student is interested in both practices.
Pricing for group classes depends on number of students and traveling options. These classes are offered at a yoga studio but I am also willing to travel.
