How did you get started teaching?
I am lucky to have been able to turn my passion for fitness into a career!
What types of students have you worked with?
My clients range in age from 20's to 90 years old. They range from beginners to marathoners and triathletes needing help avoiding injury. I have a large percentage of clients age 50+
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Having a client who is 90 years old and waiting for snow --- so that he can ski.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask them to desribe the exercises they would recommend for you and why those exercises are right for you. A good trainer has a plan that is based on you.
Also ask them about how long their clients have been working with them, the best trainers tend to keep their clients for a long time.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about your goals, and how much you are wiling to commit.
