Caid Jones Online Music Lessons (violin And Piano)
About
My teaching is set apart because I believe my job is to be my students' number one fan and honest guide. I am so picky, but I believe in each and every students' ability to grow, learn, and connect with music - no matter how young or old.
I believe everyone has something to get out of music lessons. Getting to watch students learn, grow, and discover so much about themselves, and helping them to overcome obstacles in their way, is such an honor. I wouldn't change this job for the world.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Working with a new student consists of three main things.
1. Get to know them as a human. Every student is a unique individual and I want them to know that this is their most important aspect.
2. technique! Good technique leads to a lifetime of playing without limitations. If your form is good, you can do anything, and you can do it with confidence.
3. Have fun. We're going to work hard. We're going to be dedicated. But we're also going to be silly and laugh and make jokes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's degree - instrumental performance
master's degree - instrumental performance
violin - Roland method
piano - Bastien method
How did you get started teaching?
My first teaching experience was at fiddlestar music camps. I was hired to teach group classes at the teenage camp and immediately fell in love with teaching. Since then, I have taught hundreds of students and have learned so much about how to get the best out of every student.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with every kind of student! The youngest I've taught was 3, the oldest is currently 89. We've played jazz, we've played bluegrass, we've played classical, we've improvised, we've played contemporary minimalist works, it's all been incredible.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Remember that we're learning how to use our body - if we use our body correctly, playing the instrument is easy.
