Paula Van Meter, Artist
About
Hello! Nice to meet you.i am an artist and I paint and draw for fun. I have had a business off and on for the past 31 years (My goodness!) selling portraits and landscapes. I have a bachelors degree in Studio Art. My style or realistic, but yours doesn't have to be in order to take lessons from me.
Any lessons I offer are based upon upon your goals and not a set class plan. My goal is for you to have fun. I am able to teach any age and skill level unless of course you are better than me. ;) I don't have a list of awards and gallery shows mostly because I am just happy creating and not entering contests or shows. I am experienced in framing so I can a.so offer suggestions on how to frame your work to enhance it.
I work a full time job during the day so I would contact you regarding lessons in the evenings or on weekends.
I enjoy teaching others how to draw and paint. It's a combination of method and expression of your own personal style. I am here to help you become the artist you want to be or simply learn a new hobby.
I personally enjoy creating art because it is just a part of me, like someone who dances or sings.

How did you get started teaching?
Because I have been an artist all my life, people have always asked me how to draw something and I'm happy to show them. However it wasn't until recently that I decided to teach art more. I realized I had a gift to share.
