About
Susanna Brakhman holds a Masters of Music degree from State Conservatory of city of Nizhni Novgorod and Special Diploma for advanced teaching courses from St. Petersburg State Conservatory. Susanna is also a trained Suzuki teacher.
Ms. Brakhman was a former faculty member in the Strings and Chamber Music departments at Music College of the City of Vladimir, and Chamber Music faculty at the Nizhni Novgorod State Conservatory in Russia. On Long Island, Ms. Brakhman has taught Suzuki programs at both Hofstra University and Adelphi University. She has performed numerous concerts and recitals as a soloist and as a member of various chamber groups in many cities in former USSR and in the New York State after her immigration.
Susanna has a unique teaching style that blends the best of European/Russian traditions and the Suzuki approach. All together, it combines for students the best quality and high standards of performance with an enjoyable way to learn. She places special emphasis on comfortable posture and hands’ positions, fostering the natural expressive abilities of children, and making the learning of music fun. Susanna is very passionate about what she does, and is incredibly dedicated to her work. She teaches all levels of experience and age groups.
Susanna is currently maintains a private practice in Long island, New York.
I love working with kids who are curious, and want to achieve a lot of expertise in music. I do my very best to give them best possible lessons with love and fun. I am always very proud of my student's achievements and recitals.
