Hi, there! I am a certified teacher who has taught Spanish for all levels: grades 3 through 12, beginners through AP literature. As a student, I lived abroad in the Dominican Republic. I have been listed in Who's Who of American Teachers, an honor achieved by being nominated by a student.
I love seeing my students learn to communicate in a new language, and hear the pride in their voices when they tell me about what they were able to say on a family vacation. The excitement that comes when a student makes a new connection is what makes me love my job!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I need to know the student's goal. Is it a school age student looking to improve a grade or is it an adult looking for a new skill to help with work. Different goals require different processes. There is no "one way" to teach a language.
