Ben Lerman Violin Studio
About
Ben Lerman began studying the violin at age 3. He made his solo orchestral debut at age 14 playing Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen with the Greenwich Village Orchestra in Manhattan and has had the opportunity to participate in the masterclasses of Rachel Barton-Pine, Herbert Greenberg, Victor Danchenko, Cyrus Forough, Dara Morales and Gerardo Ribeiro. He has attended numerous music festivals including Meadowmount School of Music, Summit Music Festival, Philadelphia International Music Festival, and Chamber Music Unbound in Mammoth, CA. As a chamber musician Ben has had coaching with the Linden Quartet and members of the New York Philharmonic. He was accepted into the New York All-State orchestra in 2018.
From 2013-2018, Ben was a student of Peggy Klinger in the Honors Program of the Hoff-Barthelson Music School. He is currently a student of Xiao Wang in the Pre-College Division of Manhattan School of Music.
