About
I am a professional, exhibiting visual artist and drawing is my passion! I have a Masters in Education and have been teaching for over 10 years. I have experience with adults and children alike and absolute beginners are welcome. I will design a personalized curriculum to fit your needs. I will show you how to train your hand to work with your eyes, how to draw light and shadow, perspective, contours, how to use your materials, and much much more!
Drawing is my absolute favorite thing to do and there is nothing better than sharing that joy with people who are hungry to learn.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin my initial drawing lesson by sharing my philosophy on art and drawing with a comprehensive handout. I strongly believe that drawing is not for the talented few but for the passionate and dedicated many! I then conduct a short evaluation drawing exercise so that I can best understand the skill level my student is bringing to the table. The rest of the lesson is spent on fun warm-up exercises and learning the basics of how to see.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been exhibiting my artwork across the US since 2009 and teaching since 2006. I received a Masters Degree in Education through the New York City Teaching Fellows program in 2009 and studied drawing at the Art Students League of New York from 2008- 2012.
