Emerald Pine Stables
About
I Own and manage Emerald Pine Stables where I give riding lessons, as well as train horses and board horses for customers too. My students usually range in age from 3 yrs old to 70 yrs old. I have a variety of very well trained horses and ponies to use for riding lessons. My horses are well cared for and healthy. My farm has both indoor and outdoor arenas so we can practice all year round, no matter the weather conditions outside. For those students wishing to compete, we attend numerous horse shows around the region of various levels. Wether you want to learn how to ride for fun or to compete, we can help you meet your goals. :)
i have been riding horses and training riders for over 45 yrs. I love to share my passion and knowledge with students of all ages. I have produced Champions at the local, state and national level. I also offer summer camps for kids where we learn even more than just riding.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson is filled with new information from preparing the horse to ride, learning proper technique, building balance and strength and then preparing the horse to be put away for the day.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been riding most of my life. I have shown, trained and taught for over 40 yrs. I pay attention to detail and like to see progress being made in my students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The price for lessons is discounted to $55 per Lesson if you pay for your lessons at the beginning of each month. Lessons must be taken at least 1x per week. Several students take 2 or 3 per week.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when my daughter was old enough to start riding.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all types of students. The age range is from 3-70 and I have worked with timid, shy, autistic, ADD, anxiety, all different types of people. :)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am always fond of seeing my
students grow into truenhorsemen. :)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't shop for the lowest price. You get what you pay for. You will want well fed healthy horses to learn on. You want a instructor who has seen things and taught through a variety of set backs by the students, but is able to change things up to help the student achieve.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Just be very open and don't hold back. What you say to me can help me teach you better by knowing your thoughts and fears or struggles.
