With 20 years of experience playing her instrument and 7 years of teaching, Micaela Murphy is an avid musician in the Cleveland area. She attended the Cleveland Institute of Music Conservatory where she studied performance and pedagogy, recieving her bachelors degree. She has won numerous competitions and has soloed with the Springfield Civic Symphony and others orchestras. Micaela is the principal violist of the Suburban Symphony Orchestra and also holds violin and viola teaching studios in Avon and Strongsville Ohio.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For beginning students I use the Suzuki Method approach which breaks down each lesson into managable sections. You will learn how to hold the violin and bow separately, and then together as we add on a new skill to each lesson.
