About

Hello! My name is Sarah and I am in the sole member of my private basketball training business. I started playing basketball in 6th grade and I immedietly fell in love with it. I played at The Miami Valley School and was able to gain some college level experience at Indiana Tech. I also had the opportunity to travel to Iowa for the NAIA National Championship in 2017. I really enjoy playing this sport and would love to share all that I have learned over the years. My goal is to provide private lessons for students that are looking to sharpen their skills.

I love spending time working with young kids and teens who are passionate about playing basketball. I learned a lot about myself because of this sport, and it has helped me grown into the adult I am today. Throughout my career, I faced challenges and times where I wanted to quit. Fortunately, I had the support of my family and friends to get me through. I promise to give my students 100% of my attention during our sessions and to provide the same support I was given. I believe, if they dig deep, every player has something special they can bring to the court!

Frequently asked questions

1.) Get to know the students background with basketball. (Years of experience, other sports they play, what they want to work on).

2.) Start with ball handling to warm up.

3.) Move onto agility training. (Ladders, tennis balls, cones/footwork)

4.) If there is time left( and a hoop is avaliable) we will work on shooting.

5.) When our time is up we will go over what we learned that day and make a plan for the next training session.

For over 7 years I played organized basketball all year round. I was either training for the season or playing on an AAU team. I also have went through various training sessions with college and professional trainers like Laurie Pirtle, former University of Cincinnati Women's Basketball coach.

Pricing is based upon each student and what they require. I am beginner trainer, so my rates will be low to start off and may increase depending on how many students I pick up.

A year ago, I started teaching my friend how to shoot and dribble. She said I was really good at teaching. She also said that I would definitely make a great basketball trainer because of how patient I was with her. Some of my other friends told me the same thing, and eventually I started looking up ways I could do something with my basketball skills and my love for the sport.

Anything worth doing is going to be difficult and hard at times. Find a teacher that is going to push you to work harder than you ever have before! If you give 100% at all times it will pay off I promise!
