Frequently asked questions

Starting with a detailed mixing class is the key to success.  Learning about brushes, how to use them and how paints work is a great way to start a lifetime of success in painting.

Annie started painting as a young child. Her first "keeper" painting was done in watercolor at the age of 11. Annie attended the Art Acadamy and has a lifetime of painting experience.

Prices vary depending on how many students, if she has to travel and so on. Typically in a group setting of 5 or more it's 20.00 per student for 2 hours. Private lessons are 40.00 hourly plus travel time. Come to Annie to save that extra expence. She's a phone call away for more details.

Annie moved to Indiana and needed a creative outlet and saw where Graumbacher was looking for painting instructors. They sponsored her and sent her to Michaels to teach. It all went crazy after that. She soon found Paint Nite and was able to teach literally thousands of, mostly women, to paint a painting in 2 hours.

Annie has mostly worked with adults but taught mostly kids at Michaels. She also taught adults at Adam's Art and supply for two years.

Recently she taught a group of 9, of all ages, how to paint on a canvas bag. It was an intimate setting and she was able to give everyone plenty of one on one time.

Don't be afraid, that blank canvas can be very intimidating. It's only paint!

What the area of expertice is, Annie is not much of a portrait artist. Although she is able to do it, it's not her area of expertise.
