Frequently asked questions

The first thing is for me to learn where you are at playing guitar.

I like to have the student sit down and play their song (If they know one) and show me what they can do. this will let me see how well you control your fingers and how your tempo holds.

I do a one on one interview to find out what my students expect to learn and what motivates them to practice more.

I had people who came up to me at gigs asking if I would teach them guitar. It kind of snowballed into a full time job pretty fast no matter where I lived in a few different states.

I love helping players get to a point where they can start thinking on the fly and be able to play along with most any songs they want.

I have worked with students from early teen to over 60 years old.

Mostly Rock, classic rock, and blues/blues rock based background. (for those that are already playing some)

I also work with students that just want to learn a few chords and strum a few songs.

I have worked with plenty of professionals such as doctors and people who work in a high stress situation that wantto take an hour to get some down time and turn up a guitar and amp to let some stress out.

I have taught lessons in offices and at private homes.

Find the one who is going to teach you what you want to learn.

If you are into a certain style of music work with a teacher who understands that style and someone you enjoy being around.

There are plenty of great players but very few who are good at teaching and being able to convey the ideas needed to learn the instrument.

Very simple... What are you after?

Do you want to learn theory?

Do you want to be able to improv and be a sit in player?

Do you want to just learn cover songs?

How long do you plan on taking lessons?
