Welcome! I offer guitar lessons, piano lessons, and music composition lessons for all ages both in-person in Eugene, Oregon and online through Zoom.
Are you frustrated trying to teach yourself guitar or piano by watching videos online? Perhaps you've learned a few chords on guitar but don't know what to learn next? Maybe you've always wanted to write your own songs but don't know where to start. I will work with you to develop a custom learning plan based on your music goals.
I have over 35 years experience playing and teaching music in a variety of styles, and will work with you to help you learn the style of music you want to play, whether that's rock, pop, folk, jazz, or classical.

John makes learning guitar fun and easy. He is patient, encouraging, and receptive to all my questions and concerns. He offers clear, easy to follow instructions in a calm yet enthusiastic manner.
