My teaching approach: Fun. Theory. Fun. We learn something that sounds good;a song, riff or scale to stoke the fire. Then some theory to put it in context and build versatility, which leads us back to fun. I've been teaching 8 years and playing 20. I taught at the Paul Green School of Rock, as well as privately around Multnomah county. My guitar lessons take place in: The teacher's studio. Guitar Lessons with me take place in the following areas: NW Portland at my home studio. Guitar Techniques: Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Song Writing, Recording and Production, Reading Music, Performance, Jamming Skills, Vocal Accompaniment, Open tuning, Rhythm guitar, Lead guitar
I like seeing students make real progress and moving towards their goals. In-person lessons provide accurate direction for where the student is at.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to find out what client's goals are,
then find out where client is musically,
then create a lesson plan to get them to their goal
smoothly and steadily.
