Curves
About
For women only. Strength training for all ages and stages of fitness. Just 30 minutes!
Working with the ladies who are our members. Many of them have not exercised in months so Curves is perfect for them. Each member has specific goals they want to meet and we get to celebrate with them as they can strength, lose weight, gain balance - whatever their focus is.
We also have a strong member community. It's fabulous for the ladies to bond over exercise.
All of our coaches have been Curves and Cleveland Clinic certififed.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with a consultation meeting to explain Curves, how the program works, and have the client try a few machines. Once they have joined we work directly with the new member around the circuit and the stretching circuit for as long as needed. A coach is always available for questions or further training as needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Training in the circuit with certified Curves coaches at Curves Club Camp. Continuing refreshers as needed.
Cleveland Clinic certified to aid with weight management counseling through the Curves Complete program.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Curves Complete is $60 per month for six months of weight management counseling plus the full circuit, including CurvesSmart. This is followed with six months as a Success member at $39 per month.
Service fee is required with all memberships. $39-99 depending upon current Curves sponsored promotions.
How did you get started teaching?
I loved Curves so much as a member that I purchased the club in 2012. I have found it very fulfilling to share my excitement with the members.
What types of students have you worked with?
Curves is for women only. I have coached ages 13 up to 93. Many of the ladies have physical limitations that require adapting the Curves workout to their abililties.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We just finished our annual Breast Cancer Awareness promotion. Everyone has been touched by cancer at some point - themselves, friends or family members. This year we sold bears dressed in school colors or dressed for winter in knitted scarves.
Next up is our annual food toy drives for Snowcap, a service organization in East Multnomah County.
It is wonderful to see the generosity of our members as the barrels fill up.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be certain of what type of exercise you are wanted to engage in. Visit multiple locations to see what each has to offer if you need help making that decision. Curves does not have treadmills or stationaly bicycles, however, we do have the best all round strength building program in the country.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What will your program do for me? What all is included in your package?
How often am I allowed to come?
How do I step up the workout as I gain strength?
