What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My students describes their level of expertise, as well as what kind of photography interests them: portrait, landscapes, pets, etc. During the lesson, the students have ample time to ask questions, or just look puzzled. A one-on-one lesson is an excellent way to learn a skill!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked as a professional photographer since 1991.

How did you get started teaching?
By accident. A friend asked me to show her how to operate her new camera and afterward, she praised my ability to communicate. I was honored that she sent a friend to me for help, also. One thing has led to another...
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and several levels of experience.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A student wanted to learn natural light product photography and we had a very productive lesson. She came back 2 weeks later after she had time to put her knowledge to work. We advanced some more, and she is scheduled back in 4 weeks.
