My students have become the stars of anything they wanted to be !
school talent shows played on my own tv show as student of the month
placed 1st in piano organ competitions and got top parts in school plays church and choir soloists one vocal student w/her 4friends I helped prepare for their AGT audition...but also my students who just want to learn how to have fun playing songs they want to play.they are doing just that.....and are very happy! and have learned to enjoy their time......like ."A time Out For Me" and have told me they found themselves playing for hours......call me now to get scheduled!
I love working with anyone who has the drive and love to learn that was me !and I love to see the smiles when they are completely confidence and ready to perform recently in 3practices I helped prepare a school for their Christmas presentation after the children up to 8th grade finished singing my arrangement of Christmas Canon they loved it and applauded me! And thanked me for coming in and helping them learn their song!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I have them play something if not
I explain about the black keys first and let them place fingers on them close eyes listen to keys as they play them maybe teach them Indian or Chinese creative things can play on their own and then customize their lessons from there on Which may or may not involve a book or books it depends on how quickly the student can adapt to thinking of the concept of think first then read next
because I want the student to be able to think forward and then backward then they are ready to read music because they can now read the right hand and let hand but the key word is Think!I started teaching my neighborhood children at age 9 years old going out on my bike every Saturday morning but my father opened a music store in early 60's and every time he sold a piano or organ I was the teacher! Then after 65 students my own students started teaching in our music store

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25 per half hour
$50 per hour
if there is 4 weeks for month for students scheduled lesson $100 for half hour students unless there is 5 weeks then they owe a extra lesson same for hour students
How did you get started teaching?
Everybody wanted themselves or their children to play/perform like Brenda no matter what age!
you see I hated piano lessons why because I was put into books and not appreciated or recognized for my wonderful ear and talent god blessed me with. ...that is why I will work w/students first letting them show me their abilities then the fun of learning begins for both me and student!
