What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start my initial session with a functional training assessment, which tests the ability to perform daily activities and muscle weaknesses through certain functional exercises. I highlight weaknesses and individualize a plan to correct those, while also focusing on the client's own fitness goals. I try to see what the client prefers while working out to keep up their engagement!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I specialize on weight management and weight loss. I also am specialized in Orthopedic exercise so those with injuries or post surgery or post injury! I teach Kickboxing and self defense training as I am a second degree blck belt in MMA. I have shadowed under many physical therapists so I have learned various exercises for those struggling with artritis or joint pain, low back pain, shoulder tightness, or rehabing hip replacements. I studied Nutrition science as my undergrad so I can develop various nutrition prigram for any health goal. I have also worked with division one collegiate athletes Nutrition, as well as strength and conditioning for high school squash althetes.
