I love to teach sewing classes and inspire others to create their own garments, accessories or crafts. I'm very knowledgeable on sewing and patternmaking and could help students bring their vision to life!
I would recommend 2 hour one on one sessions to be sure you have enough time to work on projects.
I also teach lessons on Learning to use your Crucit, navigating around design space and importing cut files.
I truly enjoy making things and seeing it from beginning concept to the finish product. I enjoy working through every step including the problem solving portion and fit issues of a garment.
When instructing sewing classes, I enjoy helping students bring their ideas to life and the excitement it brings them when they begin to see results.

How did you get started teaching?
I started out as a sewing tutor in college and truly enjoyed that position. I late came across an opportunity to teach sewing classes at a local art center and instructed sewing classes over 10 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've work with all types of students from all levels and experience, including children as young as 6 years old, students at college level, beginner, and experienced hobbyists.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Choose a perfectionist and someone who's detail oriented. Sewing is about patience and being precise with extact measurements in ensure the best fit and function.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Sewing and prep takes lots of time. Do they have the time to devote to this Hobby?
