About
Hi New Students! My name is Doug Warnock and I'm a senior at Temple University. I have played Tennis throughout most of my life beginning at the age of 9. I continued to play competitively all throughout High School. I do not play competitively in college due to wanting to focus on my studies. However, I know I would be a great teacher for anyone that is brand new to the sport and really looking to improve. I work mostly in the Temple University area as well as the University City area around Penn and Drexel. Looking forward to working with ya! Tennis is the best!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For working with new students there are some vital skills that I believe are best to learn right from the start. The first few lessons will focus on footwork and some basics of raquet control. From there we will work on ball control/ placement and serving.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am fairly new to teaching Tennis having only worked with a handful of students in the past. However, I believe I have helped these students tremendously. I also have two years experience as a Math Tutor/ Teaching assistant so I am very good at taking complex issues and finding simple solutions.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$20 per hour :) Tennis lessons can be incredibly expensive and I feel that prevents a lot of people from pursuing one on one training which I believe is the best form of training (behind actually playing matches, this is best if you're not ready to play matches quite yet) Tennis is an amazing life long sport and no one should not pursue it due to money!
What types of students have you worked with?
I work mostly with absolute beginners as well as Advanced Beginners. Those who are at an Intermediate to Advanced level probably don't really need lessons but you might enjoy a partner to hit with and I would love to do that as well (for free!)
