About
Teaching lessons and working with students of all levels and ages has been a hugely rewarding surprise for me! I began teaching as a student in college and was surprised how much I enjoyed it being I always wanted to compose and perform. Now I cannot imagine a life without teaching lessons! Especially during the pandemic, my students and I have built such invaluable relationships and learned so much more about each other, the world, and of course music!
I am primarily a piano teacher, but I also teach guitar, ukulele, music theory, and songwriting/composing. I have a BA in music and communications from Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown PA. I’m a musician and singer/songwriter who has a passion for film composing. I also have experience in a cappella arranging and classical composition.
I’m 26 and passionate about music. I’ve worked on several short film projects, filmmaker demo reels, local TV commercials, arranged for numerous college a cappella groups, and have released two eps and one single available on all music platforms as an indie singer/songwriter.
I've been teaching now for 8 years since 2013. I teach any and all ages or levels. I teach classical, pop, jazz, broadway and anything in between! Kids and adults are welcome to bring their own musical goals and passions be it learning the basics, some new styles, or just mastering a single piece of music!
My goal is to help the students hone their own passion for music and discover the beauty and emotional expression available through the world of music. I openly encourage a wide range of genres from classical to popular music, singer/songwriter and video game or move music! I find there is such value in seeing and appreciating music in all facets of our lives.
I love helping students progress and accomplish their individual goals on their instrument and music! Music is such a powerful tool and outlet for people to express and discover themselves as well as share the beauty and wonder of music-making with others!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for the right teacher I find it's all about connection and relationship with the teacher. The right teacher can make any student thrive on their instrument and challenge them to new heights. My goal first to try my best to relate to my students and ask what they want or need and desire from our lessons. I always strive to make sure they are having fun while also learning, and making necessary changes in our routine if they're not enjoying it.
