Music is so much more than just reading notes on a page. I believe that adding your own personal creative touch gives you the confidence and the power to craft your musical expression into whatever you want it to be. I love to teach new songwriters and musicians how to self-accompany on piano, how to craft their songwriting, and how to move forward confidently in their musical journey. I love being able to help people gain confidence in expressing themselves. This is an area that I struggled with for a long time, so I have so much empathy for people who are shy or who doubt their own abilities. But trust me- if I can do this, anybody can :)

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start with a general chat to see what their goals are and what they'd like to achieve with their music. Every person has a different path forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA of music from Queens University, I've played piano for about 20 years, and I have almost 10 years of teaching experience. I'm proficient in LogicPro and self-produce all my music.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50 / hour
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching piano in high school, as recommended by my piano teacher at the time.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked mainly with kids in the past, but I'm currently looking to work more with songwriters and musicians who are ready to uplevel their skills.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who resonates with you and who you feel a personal connection with. Having a mentor that you connect with makes all the difference in the world.
