Jamie's Play Now
About
I love to teach one of the best hobbies ever...playing guitar. I am self taught and have been playing for 20 years now. I teach the way I taught myself. I do not know how to read music or the music theory part of guitar playing. But I teach using tablature and can have you playing the first day. I also am a guitar effects and amplifiers nut, so will teach you the basics then how to use the guitar effects and amps. Guitar is all just little tricks, once you learn.a few, you will be on your way. I hope to teach and pass on my knowledge to you. Thank you.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I teach the future rock star how to read tablature, and then the basic tips and tricks to get started to rock out. I am more into the electric side of guitar teaching but can teach acoustic also.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self taught from using guitar tablature. I have been playing for 20 years. I went to school for electronics to build guitar effects. I love guitar effects, pedals and amps. And I love teaching how to use these effects.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Price depends on travel and student. Am pretty flexible though, since I love teaching to play.
How did you get started teaching?
I have taught friends and family.
What types of students have you worked with?
Any and all. Your never too young or old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I taught my daughter a few things on guitar and she helped me play while using a guitar volume pedal while I played the song
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be ready to drive whomever you live with nuts, and practice, practice, practice. But once you start getting it...the more you will love practicing and learning more.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Any and all. The more you ask, the more you learn.
