Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
while not working for a specific course I can meet you at your club or even coach online by FaceTime, email, or texting. I will analyze your swing from different angles. Taking videos and showing you exactly what we need to fix. Going over your goals and set you up for success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied 2 years at the golf Academy of America. I have been playing for 20 years. Played 4 years on the varsity team in high school and setting the school scoring record. Played 2 years at a local college and 2 years on the mini tours.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 for 30 min lessons
$50 for 1 hour lessons
How did you get started teaching?
After playing in the mini tours I would teach my friends and family and realized I had a real passion for seeing others get better at the game of golf. I was getting pretty good at it and knew it was the career for me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and genders. From beginners to talented players.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A few years ago I had a friend who was struggling with his slice for years and went to many coaches who could not fix it. I spent 2 weeks with him and we were able to turn his slice into a draw and now he can't slice the ball if he tried. He was so happy he can't put his clubs down.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would sit down and right down what you're good at and what you need to work on. Then figure out what your ultimate goal is that you want to achieve. This makes it easier for the coach to guide you to that goal.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What his intentions are about changing his swing. While some coaches can make quick fixes, I am looking for life time changes. Ask them if they're going to change your swing completely because a swing change can take months to a year to fix and be comfortable on the golf course.
