About

Hello 😊 My name is Brittany. I started working my career as a therapeutic riding volunteer when I was nine years old. I love horses and helping others. I specialize in teaching beginners how to groom, lead, tack, and ride horses.

As a certified instructor through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International, you can rest assured my teaching skills have been observed as safe. You, your child, or teen will learn how to ride from a credentialed professional.

I typically see my riders on a weekly basis. My rate is $150 for the full hour. Included in the price is learning how to groom, tack, bathe, and ride bareback and English style.

I teach my students about horse safety and behavior, how to follow multi-step directions, plan ahead, manage their time, and encourage them to carry and return their equipment to the barn when the lesson is over to promote responsibility. Present moment focus, setting healthy boundaries with the horse, and the difference between being assertive and aggressive are all topics of conversation within my program.

I will complete an initial evaluation on site where we will set goals based on your skill set and desires and I regularly follow up to ensure those goals are being met or are being worked on.

If you are interested in setting up lessons, please contact me to set up the evaluation at (469) 422-0405.

I have worked with children, teens, and adults with special needs. I have also worked with able bodied riders, including those who have suffered from emotional and or physical trauma. What I enjoy most about this field of work is seeing the progression of the rider and the connection they are able to make with the horse. This is more than my passion, it's my calling.

I started working my career as a therapeutic riding volunteer when I was nine years old. The barn was always a safe place for me. After I graduated from California State University Long Beach with my Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communications, I pursued a number of different careers in the corporate world. Eventually, God led me back to my calling to help others through the healing power of the horse. After graduation, I worked at different therapeutic riding facilities across Arizona and Texas as an instructor, specializing in teaching beginner riders how to groom, lead, tack, and ride horses. I became certified through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship in December 2019.

Be sure to hire a riding instructor who will give you their undivided attention while you are around the horse.
