About

Welcome! My teaching focuses on my student's strengths and reasons for learning. I ensure that students are taught from a personalized curriculum that brings them closer to their goals while emphasizing the music fundamentals that will prepare and enrich them for life. I am passionate about piano, cello, saxophone, theory/composition, and songwriting. I believe I can engage any curious or dedicated student with this eclectic mix of perspectives and experience. Above all else, I belive in the joy of learning, the ability to make mistakes, and the sheer power of music in our lives.

Teaching allows me to share the knowledge I've collected from a lifetime of professors and mentors. The lessons I've learned along the way will make my student's path much more enjoyable and clearer. My biggest role models growing up were my music teachers.

Coursework in music history, theory, composition, and songwriting

I got started by mentoring younger students in my high school orchestra program. My passion for teaching evolved into giving piano and cello lessons for K-12 students in Wichita Falls, TX.

I have worked with many kinds of students in many environments: young beginner/intermediate, college-aged, through summer programs, individual lessons, or brief mentorships.

"How serious am I about learning? What tools do I have at my disposal?" There are many ways to create and express one's self through music! Your teacher will work with what is available (your tools and time commitment) to help you achieve your goals.
