I teach a variety of styles. They will learn to read as well as appreciate the music. I teach them to play from their hear.
I've taught for a number of years with several of my students progressing and playing in bands at their schools and in competitions.
I teach them the love of music as a priority to learning.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out where they are in the learning process and what they want to accomplish. We start there and move forward.
We get acquainted and I introduce myself to them and tell them what is expected and let them know it will be fun, challenging experience.,
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played in bands and church bands for several years. I have taught a variety of styles to various ages and levels of achievement for several years.

$25 per half our lesson. Lessons are weekly.
How did you get started teaching?
The place where I took lessons needed an instructor and asked if I would be interested in teaching. I started teaching when I was about 12 years old. I enjoy seeing my students excel and learn.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught all ages and learning abilities. Some were interested in popular music while others a more christian based style. Some were very eager to learn while others took more encouragement to get them to practice.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who will challenge you and encourage you to learn and appreciate music as well as recognize your unique talent and ability.
