Phil Miller Piano Lessons

Since retiring from the Postal Service in 2009, I have been a full-time keyboards/ piano teacher and solo performer as a one-man band. Extensive experience in both teaching and performance has lended a unique pragmatism to my lesson plans. It has become my goal to assist each of my students to achieve their personal musical ambitions, whether their aspirations are private or professional. My 20 plus years of teaching experience has allowed me to develope a wide variety of basic instructional approaches that appeal to each student's strengths while never abandoning their technical weakness. My hands-on teaching and gigging experience is backed up by 14 years of classical piano training and a music degree from University of North Texas. Integrating music theory into my lessons has always been an important aspect of my teaching philosophy.

I believe the success of my students may be attributed, in part, to my teaching them how to practice effectively in a fun and entertaining environment.

Throughout years of teaching both one-on-one and classroom piano, it has been my dream to be able to reach out to students anytime, anywhere and help them to forward their musical aspirations. Online teaching has allowed me to realize that dream.
