About

Hello my name is Nichelle. I've been teaching for a year, but I've been certified for two years. I am passionate not only about dance, but being healthy as well. I also love to use Zumba Fitness as a platform to bring women of all backgrounds together to form a sisterhood. We encourage, inspire, and empower one another in all areas of our lives. We pray together and for one another after class. I consider myself to be their accountability partner. If they are struggling with eating right or working out, I encourage them to fight through it. I push everyone to get out of their own way in my class. Just when you think you have nothing left to give, I challenge you to dig a little deeper. Our bodies are our temples and we have to take care of them physically and spirtually. I believe this is what makes my classes stand out. We are a sisterhood of conquerors.

I enjoy being an instructor. It's not just a class for me, but rather a way I can be transparent and share my fitness journey and the battle I had with low self-esteem for years. I love the fact that I'm able to do this through my passion of dancing and working out. The thought of being transparent and inspiring or empowering someone to take control of their health and/or to love themselves no matter what shape or size they are, brings joy to heart. It's not just fitness. It's not just dance. Nor is it just a party, but it's all those things in one. It's a big fitness dance party where you can be yourself and transform your body while doing it. Check out my facebook page D.I.V.A.S of Fitness. It's a private page so you'll have to send a request. I'm also on YouTube and posted my 1st video. The name is Zin Nichelle and the video title is Zumba with Chelle. Please check it out, subscribe, like, etc. You can also find me and my class schedule on zumba.com (Nichelle Wimbush). I will travel to students only if there are 5 participants or more. Please email me at [email protected] for lessons or more information.

Frequently asked questions

I introduce myself and try to make them feel welcome.  I always show them a motified and full out version. I make sure that I tell them it's their workout; you get out what you put into it.  However, I try to challenge them to get out of thier comfort zone and push themselves to another level each class.

I am certified to teach Basic Zumba 1 and Zumba toning (recently received certification)

Right now I'm just at a small gym where the participants pay a fee of $5 for a drop-in (non-members) for basic Zumba. The price for Zumba Toning is $10 drop-in or 40/4 classes (non-members). If I'm traveling to participants, the start off rate is $25 per person. The rate may vary depending on how far I'm ttaveling.

I started participating in Zumba classes in 2012 because I love to dance.  I love all genres of dance, but I especially love Latin dances.  The instructor I started with told me I should get my certification, however, I didn't get it until 2015.  Now I'm so happy to be a Zumba Instructor.

I've worked with women from various backgrounds,  differents hapes/sizes and rhythms.  I've even had a couple of men.

I just went through a Zumba toning training.

To make sure that they are passionate about what they do and if they challenge themselves to go beyond what they're used to.

What they are looking out of an instructor?  How they can benefit from the?  instructor? Does the instructor take what they do seriously?  Are they passionate about it?  If it is something they really want to do? Are they mentally prepared for a lifelong change or is this a quick fix?
