Jayme Davis Yoga
About
I have been teaching for over 11 years which equates to just over 10,000 teaching hours. My students range from beginners to athletes because my approach to yoga is so accessible.
I am possionate about helping people cutivate peace and joy in their daily life. Our issues are in our tissues, so physically letting go of what binds us up coupled with how to breath and stay focused creates the perfect cocktail to finding gratitude and thus peace and joy. The more in the moment we are the more likely we are to break old habits that hold us back. Making a bright day today shapes a brighter future.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If are you interested in working with me send me a message of some of your goals or why you want to start doing yoga. Are you looking for more physical strength and flexibility? Are you interested in meditation and the spiritual side of yoga? Do you have any injuries we need to address? How often do you currently exercise? And what is your daily life/job situation in terms of stress?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my 200 hour certification in 2006. I attend at least 30 hours of continuing education a year studying everything from anatomy to meditation, to holistic wellness like Ayurveda and essential oils. I have over 10,000 hours of teaching experience and have been certifying yoga instructors in my teacher training program since 2010.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
One lession is $125. But if you can purchase at least 3 sessions the price goes down to $100/session.
How did you get started teaching?
By the time I was 20 years old I lost both of my parents to cancer. About 2 years later I started doing yoga because Jennifer Aniston praised it for changing her body. I felt that if I had a hot body, a great job and a hot boyfriend my life would have meaning, and I would be happy.
I quickly discovered that my happiness lies within me not outside of me. I learned that I attached to the pain of losing my parents on a daily basis. I realized I could choose to be happy no matter what happens in life. I could feel how my body physically gripped to life and with each movement and each moment of clarity on my mat I started writing a new dialogue.
What types of students have you worked with?
My approach is accessible so I work with beginners to athletes with tpcial aches/pains/strenghs and weaknesses. I would call "typcial" shoulder stress, low back pain and light injuries etc.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Teachers teach what they know.
If someone says "this is the only way" Or "My way is best." They are lying and trying to sell you something.
The more you teach the more you realize you have so much more to learn, so make sure your teacher is humble and has a teacher themselves.
