About
I am a Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas where I direct two large ensembles and teach secondary jazz trombone lessons. I also hold a degree in Trombone Performance from the Eastman School of Music. My students receive a healthy dose of fundamental building blocks like lip slurs, long tones, scale work, articulation work and range-building as well as plenty of content-specific instruction based on the student's needs and interests, i.e. jazz improvisation, sight reading and audition prep.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work quickly to identify a student's goals, strengths and weaknesses in order to best serve their musical and trombone-specific needs. After an ititial get-to-know-you lesson we dive right in with a combination of fundamentals, etudes, prepared pieces and transcriptions that will get them where they want to be musically.
