Spring Cypress Dance Center is under the direction of Ms. Leticia Hernandez. Our mission is to instill the love of dance to a new generation of dancers. We offer a wide variety of dance classes in the Spring Cypress and Tomball areas of Houston, Texas. We offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Pilates, Tiny Tots and combo classes, ages 2 – adults. Our staff is highly qualified and strives to offer the best dance education for our students.
Our NEW state of the art studio is 8,000 + sq ft. complete with 5 large dance rooms. Please stop in to see our studio. We are a traditional dance school dedicated to helping each student reach their potential in the art form of dance. Our students flourish in this environment of encouragement! Our teen program helps dancers interested in perfecting their drill team and cheerleading skills. We have a large dance company that performs throughout the school year.

Leticia Hernandez- Artistic Director / Owner
Leticia Hernandez began her dance training with the Corpus Christi Concert Ballet, under the guidance of Nancy Sulik. At the age of 16, Leticia was invited to dance with the Compania Nacional de Danza of Mexico City. She has also trained with Nakita Tolin, David Howard, Jorge Cano, Susana Moreno Benavides, Edward Villella, Evelyn Ireton, Deborah Quainam, Susanne Longley, and Jan Simonds. Leticia received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance & Theatre from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. While in Houston, she was a member of Joan Karff’s Modern Dance Group and the Exclamation Dance Company. Her professional musical theatre background includes performances in THE KING & I, WESTSIDE STORY, PHANTOM, SOUTH PACIFIC, and CAMELOT.
In 2005, Leticia was honored by then Mayor Lee Brown & Deborah Quainam, as an outstanding citizen of the City of Houston, as well as one of Houston’s rising Latin Artist’s. Also that year, UNIVISION featured her along with 2 other upcoming artists in the Houston area. She has taught at Sullivan’s Dance Studio, Texas Tap Ensemble, HSPVA, HCC-Central, Houston Academy of Dance, & West University Dance Centre. Leticia was a member of the faculty at St. Mark’s Episcopal School, for 16 years, where she taught dance, music, and movement. She also serves as an adjudicator of dance for both public and private schools, as well as guest teaching.

How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching st St Marks Episcopal for over 15 years.
I have taught at Sullivan School of Dance, West University Dance Center, Houston Academy of Dance and Texas Tap Ensemble.
