About
I have been training people in one form of exercise or another since I was 18. It started with martial arts as a senior student at a small karate dojo in upstate New York. There is where my passion for fitness started as well as for teaching and helping others, but I didn't yet realize it would be my career. Fastforward to my military service where I became a PT instructor on top of my regular Radar Technician job, and I got more experience in coaching fitness. Eventually my path led me to going back to school to study exercise and get my bachelors, I finally realized I wanted to make a career out of helping others achieve their fitness goals. That is where my passion is, I couldn't stand to do anything else.
I believe what makes my service unique is my skillset and my breadth of experience. I have worked in cardiac rehab, volunteered in a physical therapy office, worked part time in corporate wellness, been a college level strength coach, and worked in several different gym and bootcamp settings. All different types of people with different conditions and needs with a variety of methods and equipment. I am very adaptable and highly educated on the function of the body and how to train it for different outcomes. I believe I am also a good teacher, and my aim is to not just make people workout, but to educate and empower them.

Seeing someone improve their function to maintain independence. Helping someone to achieve a new level of strength in the gym and feel empowered by doing so. To help someone get out of pain is one of my favorite things, it is extremely gratifying to give someone that sense of relief. And performance goals are also very satisfying as well, to lose X amount of weight, to make the varsity team, or to win the tennis tournament.
