Lessons are offered, including music theory and improvisation / playing by hear. Lessons are available to ages 6 and up. Lessons are customized to each student. Students are motivated to develop discipline in practice, advancement in goals.

I'm currently pursuing a music education degree at UTA. I began teaching piano / organ lessons in Tyler, Texas at Tyler Piano & Organ Studios in 2004. I have had 11 years of formal piano training from 1987-1998, including classical, jazz and gospel.

Yes, the pricing system is $75.00 / month, for 30 minute lesson / week or $150.00 / month, for 1 hour lesson / week.
How did you get started teaching?
There arose a need for gospel piano and organ instruction in Tyler, Texas

I've worked with children, church musicians, older students, etc.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher who has patience, one who has background or expertise in the specific area of interest and one who keeps the lessons interesting.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How interested are they in lessons? Does the student have time to practice? What is the goal of the student in regards to taking lesson?
