I enjoy teaching adults and children that are just beginning or want to learn to improve their current skills.
In regards to teaching children:
I believe and have studied that music affects the growth of a child’s brain academically, physically and emotionally. When music has become a part of the child, it radiates positively and promotes development of the whole child. Music uses both sides of the brain, which is important when mastering areas of playing an instrument. In theory, it teaches children about sequential learning an essential skill needed in reading comprehension. Learning to keep rhythm develops coordination and the movement required when playing an instrument promotes physical well-being. We are emotional beings and music offers a positive artistic outlet. The gift of music is a gift that will last a lifetime.
Watching people grow with their instrument, personally and learn or improve their current skills.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I enjoy talking with my students beforehand to determine their style of music and instrument type. Upon meeting my student, I get an overview of their current level and then create a customized plan for my student. I like to give positive feedback and skills to work on until the next lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a musician for over 30 years and I have traveled the world with various bands. I absolutely love teaching with acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin and bass guitar. I taught music for three years at the House of Arts in the UAE while there for work. I have also taught and do teach private lessons in the area with great success.
