How did you get started teaching?
I used to work at a Private High School in San Francisco and I would help the students with their scripts and short films (consulting) just because they were very passionate about their craft.
What types of students have you worked with?
ages ranged from 13-17 years old.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always choose an instructor you feel that can reach you persoanlly and be honest with you. You don't want anyone selling a you a dream. The business can be brutal if you are unprepared. Decide what your needs/wants are the instructor who matches them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
the number one question you should always have the answer to to is: "What do I want from my scene partner?"
Use that same concept for your instructors. Believe me, your instructor will be asking the same question and together you will pull that from each other.
