About
I am a self taught artist. Artistic ability runs rampant in my family, as my grandpa was a painter, musician, and woodworker. My brother is also a professional musician. At a young age of 8 years old my grandfather bought me a Bob Ross kit. He taught me how to oil paint; this was my first medium. Over the years I fell in love with oil painting. My own style developed into something much different than its original roots. While easily capable of nature portraits, still life, etc, It is ultimately surrealism which is my passion. However, for a bit I was an instructor at Painting with a Twist. I am capable of teaching just about every kind of painting, especially oil. I am extremely familiar with the technique required to manuever oil paint well. My appoach is unique, because it involves more freedom that the conventional artist. I am a self-taught, natural born artist. In this sense, I think I have an advantage in making art, not something academic, but a true expression from oneself.
