About

The most satisfying thing about my business is having someone express to me that they cannot paint what I'm about to teach but by the end of each session, they are so proud of what they painted. It makes my heart sing!

'Allow Myself to Introduce... Myself...'

(Bonus Brownie Points if you know that movie quote)

Owner, Chief Entertainment Officer,

Party Artist, FUNPreneur, Fur Momma...

Jen Jones!

Let me assure you that my goofy personality will guarantee that you’ll have a ton of fun painting with me! I’m an extremely patient teacher, I give great detailed painting instructions and I pay close attention to the needs of my painters to help ensure your success. I also have an innate ability to help you find the confidence you need while you learn to paint.

I understand and still remember what it is like being new to acrylic painting and I teach others in the way I wish someone had taught me.

Oh, did I forget to mention, I’m completely self taught? Yep, it’s true. When I started Live Laugh Paint Parties in March 2014, I had literally NEVER painted before I started teaching. But I fell in love with painting so quickly that I knew I had to pass on this wonderful gift I’d been given.

Since beginning this business, I’ve taught approximately 400+ paint parties and 4000+ people at those parties (I think, I lost count a while back... lol). I’ve created my own painting designs from scratch for over 200+ paintings. Plus I’ve also mentored other artists on how to create their own art businesses.

Some personal notes about me:

I’ve been married to my best friend for...ever... lol. I’m a FUNPreneur at heart! I’m a sucker for punny humor, fart jokes (Exsqueeze me), and awesome movie quotes. I’m a huge, huge, huge animal lover. I’m a total goofball and can make anything FUN!!! I love thinking outside the box because sitting in a box is just weird and uncomfortable. I can relate to you from actual experience because I have absolutely ‘been there’, ‘done that’ + ‘gotten the t-shirt’ to prove it! I have a gift for helping you learn + grow on your terms and in a fun way that you’ll actually understand.

I will also be your biggest cheerleader!

I look forward to seeing all that you can truly accomplish!

I love empowering others with a skill that they often doubt is possible. My heart sings when I see a new customer's smile when they realize they really can paint!

    Frequently asked questions

First I think it is super important to do a quick phone call with a new customer to find out where you are in your journey and to see if we both think we will be a good fit for each other.  If we fit, then we can set up a time for your first lesson and begin to design them around your specific needs and goals. I do not use a set or fixed lesson plan. We are all individuals with our own needs, wants and I feel it is important to meet you were you are in this new adventure.

Lessons are then scheduled online via zoom. Lists of art supplies + variations to those lists (for personal preferences) are recommended. Payment is accepted and then...

I honestly kind of fell into this business by accident. I literally tried painting once and fell in love with it and new I had to start teaching it... so I did! To hear the full story, check out this quick video about the reason behind why I sat down to paint that day!

    https://youtu.be/jdH7mw6so1Q?t=6

I specialize in teaching first time and beginning artists in a fun online casual party setting. If you've never picked up a paint brush, I will help you learn how to hold one (literally...lol). I've had a variety of painters from first timers all the way to more experienced artists who enjoy my teaching style. Those who paint often with me say, they pick up something new every time we paint. Whether you are a novice or a pro, if you simply love to have fun while you paint this is the place for you.

Recently a few customers requested two special paintings from pictures they had taken on trips. I was able to recreate their images and teach them both in an extended painting session. It meant the world to them to have learned to paint those images and also to me when I saw their proud smiling faces!

Make sure it is someone you can work with and they will work with you how you learn best. Can they be flexible if you don't get it the first time? How can your teacher make it easier for you?

I have a past student (now friend) that was told in elementary school to never paint again. I know that is aweful for a teacher to say, but it's the truth. She told me this the first day she met me. I told her to just relax, not to be nervous, and that if she felt like she was getting stuck to just let me know. I encouraged her to just give it a try and make sure to have fun. She let go of all her fears that day and has since produced some wonderful paintings (both with my instructions and on her own too) that she is very proud to say she created!

Sometimes you just need to hear the instructions from a different person, perspective or approach.

Find out if they can meet you where you are instead of where they are. Sometimes it's easy as a teacher to accidently leap ahead when everyone else is still at the beginning.

What is your objective to learning painting? To have fun? Learn a new skill? Meet other creatives? To become the next Bob Ross? Keep in mind this might change over time. My goals sure have! Find someone who is willing to grow with you as your needs might change.
