About
I currently paint every day, working in my studio based in Plano, Texas. I inspire my students to grow into the artist they'd like to become and guide them into what areas they'd like to improve.
“I’m a firm believer that art can bring joy and peace to your life and your home. I paint every day. I am particularly inspired by organic geometry and abstracting landscapes. I love creating playful works, using acrylics, inks and mixed media to creatively express the lens of my emotions and experience.”

I absolutely love watching the transformation a budding artist makes as a result of learning foundational techniques and exploring mediums in a guided setting. One-on-one attention is critical in becoming proficient as a painter. Although I occasionally offer group lessons, I primarily focus on private lessons and teach my students whatever they'd like to learn. 💜

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The process is different for each student---some are beginners and some have moderate experience in the arts. I like to begin with basic discussions about art: likes, dislikes, goals, and expectations. Lessons are built from that foundation and tailored specifically for each student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
University of Texas at Austin, broad art studies including theatre, dance, film, music, and painting. Apprenticeship in 2005-2007 in painting in Dallas. Professional artist in DFW from 2005-present.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
100/hour for private lessons, or 50/hour per person for groups
How did you get started teaching?
I formally started teaching in 2020, but have periodically given lessons from time to time for years before that.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, all levels of proficiency
