Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For new students who have never ridden before we start at the basics. We work on balance and riding commands the first few lessons until the student is ready to move on to additional skills. If the students has ridden before, we start with a riding assessment lesson and build from there. With all of our students we discuss their goals with riding and help them work towards achieving them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Some of our instructors are CHA certified.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, we have offer 30 minute lessons for $30 or 45 minutes lessons for $45. We also have group lesson options for our more advanced beginners and up. 😊
What types of students have you worked with?
We have worked with students of all ages, backgrounds and skill sets. Many of our trainers have worked with kids with learning disabilities as well as troubled teens. Horses can be very therapeutic to anyone who loves them. Horse back riding helps teach responsibility, self discipline, boosts confidence and self respect.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are you goals with riding? What makes you want to ride? How much does it mean to you? Riding is hard work, but very fun and rewarding. It’s not a race and you will advance as fast as you want to, but it does take time and work ☺️
