Ukwanni Warumbe was my acrylic painting art teacher for 12 weeks at the San Antonio Public Library.
Mr. Warumbe was the right teacher for all of us beginning students. He likes people and was very encouraging, kind and patient. He took every question seriously. He was able to give each student personal time in a large class. He made excellent suggestions for each students work.
Mr. Warumbe understands acrylic paint and how to use it. He gave good demonstrations and easy to understand lessons. We studied color theory, the color wheel, how to mix paint and brush techniques.
He helped us look at different kinds of art.
Mr. Warumbe was prepared with lesson plans and materials. We used a variety of resources: a student art book, still life and student projects.
I learned a lot about acrylic painting and looked forward to class every week. My classmates, also, enjoyed the class.

    Frequently asked questions

I start by finding out why they want to act. Then I conduct an assessment. Finally I ask them where they want to go with their acting. With this information, I put together a tailored coaching plan. Then we start!

Needless to say, my training and education came through working as an actor. In addition to my formal training at the Brent Street Academy, and other formal classes. My education is ongoing through workshops, seminars, classes, as well as education through self paced courses of study.

A very well known theatrical director whom I had met and became friends with hired shortly after meeting me to teach acting at their acting school. From there, the word spread and I was asked to offer acting lessons to others.

I have taught students from many backgrounds, ages, and abilities.
An acting workshop I co-created and ran for a group of middle school drama teachers! Teaching acting teachers! It was sheer exhilaration. A most unforgettable time.
Be prepared to realize that acting, like any other profession will require tuition. An upfront cost! Then, a realization that you must target, and focus on learning each aspect of the acting craft. And there are a lot of things you must learn. So be prepared for the long haul. So hire someone who will explain what an acting career involves.
Do you have a premade curriculum? Will I have homework? Will there be any required reading? Will I have to do any performance evaluations, or any graded acting exercises? Can I bring in other actors to form a private class? Can I ask for other acting lessons/training not covered in the class?
